Cardiology Fellowship Program
The Cardiology Fellowship Program at Stony Brook Medicine offers comprehensive training in a dynamic, high-volume clinical environment.
As the only tertiary care center in Suffolk County, our program provides fellows with exposure to a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including advanced interventional procedures, structural heart interventions, electrophysiology, heart failure and mechanical assist devices. Fellows gain hands-on experience in echocardiography, transesophageal imaging, catheterization, ablations and pacemaker/ICD management.
Our educational program combines robust clinical experience with a structured didactic curriculum. Fellows participate in conferences, Grand Rounds, Journal Club and focused core lectures, ensuring a deep understanding of cardiology fundamentals. We also emphasize research — offering training in study design, statistical analysis and scientific writing — with opportunities to present at national meetings.
Graduates of our program have gone on to prestigious academic appointments and advanced subspecialty training. Fellows benefit from mentorship and a collaborative team environment as well as exposure to cutting-edge technology and innovative patient care.
